Job Summary

This position will support the CAD Administrator and Product Engineers in the development of new product and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education/Training

· 2 years’ experience in CAD drafting and design

· Experience in using SolidWorks, PDM Vault knowledge a plus

· Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) required

Other skills and abilities

· Familiar with ASME Y14.5M standard and interpreting GD&T

· Team player with a positive attitude

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual is a plus

· Ability deal with changing priorities and specification requirements

· Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus

· Takes charge of projects with good follow through from start to finish

· Ability to effectively handle several projects simultaneously

· Good organizational skills with attention to detail

· Practical minded with good common sense

· Knowledge of machined parts and sheet metal fabrication is a plus

· Efficiently and effectively manage time

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Create CAD drawings of components and assemblies using SolidWorks

· Create new models and update existing models using SolidWorks

· Update drawings to a new revision from redlined prints

· Assist with drawing checking and verification

· Assist with cleaning up older documentation and converting models to SolidWorks

· Assist in writing installation and work instructions for assembly drawings

· Assist engineers in documenting production related issues

· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

· Assist the CAD Administrator in organizing CAD files and general documentation

· Communicate in an understandable, polite, and professional manner

· Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and move about the facility
