Accounts Payable Clerk

Position: Accounts Payable Clerk

Reports to: Controller

FLSA Status: Non-exempt (Hourly)

Employment Type: Full Time; Monday - Friday

Work Locations: 5715 Bickett Street, Huntington Park, CA 90255

Accounting Assistant Role:

The Accounts Payable Clerk in this position will work from our corporate office in Huntington Park.

Skills:

AS400 experience is a plus (not required)
Excellent Oral and Written Communication is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Proficiency in basic mathematical problem-solving
Garment industry experience is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while holding attention to detail

Accounts Payable Duties:

Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals
Process vendor invoices using 3-way matching system
Entering Invoices/Credit memos to the proper general ledger account and period
1099 vendor maintenance
Process weekly check run
Independently investigate and resolve discrepancies
Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements
Assist in month-end closing duties
Maintain files and documentation

Education:

High School Diploma – College courses in Business related subjects preferred

Experience:

1+ years of administrative support in Accounting (preferred)
