Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in barbering techniques and a keen understanding of hair care, styling, and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality haircuts, shaves, and grooming services while ensuring an exceptional experience for every client. The Barber will also assist with retail sales and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the salon.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and hair styling.
Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and provide tailored recommendations.
Utilize knowledge of color theory and hair extensions to enhance client services.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
Assist with front desk operations including scheduling appointments using MINDBODY software.
Engage in retail sales by promoting hair care products and services to clients.
Stay updated on the latest trends in barbering techniques and products.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

Valid barbering license or cosmetology certification is required.
Proven experience in barbering or related field is preferred.
Knowledge of retail math to assist with product sales and inventory management.
Familiarity with MINDBODY software is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Experience with hair threading and other specialized techniques is desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
