Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards as well as sandblasting and component preparation. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for coating by sandblasting, cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary.
Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings evenly to ensure a consistent finish.
Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare components for powder coating.
Monitor the curing process to ensure proper adhesion and quality of the powder coat.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklift equipment as needed for material handling and fabrication tasks.

Qualifications

Experience in powder coating and sandblasting or similar roles is preferred.
Familiarity with powder coating auto wheels/rims is a plus.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively in a warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience in materials handling or fabrication is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 hours per week
