We are a busy, creative flower shop looking for an experienced and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, a love for flowers, and the ability to replicate arrangements from our website with precision and creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create floral arrangements for funerals, birthdays, holidays, and other occasions
- Take phone and in-person orders with excellent customer service
- Replicate floral designs from reference images and our website
- Maintain flower inventory and ensure quality of fresh flowers
- Assist with shop organization, prepping flowers, and daily cleanup
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of flower shop experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on floral design experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of flower care and handling techniques
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Will be asked to make a sample arrangement during the interview
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sympathy/funeral work
- Familiarity with flower wire services (e.g., Teleflora, 1800flowers, etc.)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
