Manufacturing Roles in
Irwindale, CA As a
Press Operator you will:
- Heat and shape metal using industrial press equipment, forging tools, and traditional blacksmithing techniques.
- Operate presses, hammers, anvils, and other metal shaping tools.
- Join metal parts through welding, riveting, or other fabrication methods.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical designs to fabricate custom metal parts.
- Maintain blacksmithing tools and equipment.
- Sharpen and repair tools and metal components as needed.
- Manage inventory of metal stock and supplies.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Work both independently and with other craftspeople to complete projects.
As a
Saw Operator you will:
- Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer program.
- Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.
- Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.
- Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.
- Must be forklift operations and safety certified.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
As a
Hot Shop Helper you will:
- Support the forge crew in producing forged bars and blocks.
- Follow direction from the blacksmith for safe and accurate material movement.
- Read and re-mark serial numbers per instructions and furnace loading maps.
- Operate forklifts to move and transport materials (training or certification required).
- Use measuring tools such as calipers to verify material sizes.
- Train to handle material manually using tongs and manipulators.
- Learn to operate grinding equipment used for forgings and input stock material.
- Perform additional shop-related duties as required.
These are full-time opportunities:
Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pm
The ideal candidates will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of working in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math, reading, and language skills
Pay Rate $18.00 - $23.00 depending on experience and role. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
