Job Title: Welder III
Department: Manufacturing/Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder III to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, primarily utilizing TIG welding techniques, with some MIG welding required. This role demands a strong understanding of welding principles, the ability to interpret technical documents, and proficiency in working with various materials and thicknesses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex welding operations using TIG and MIG welding processes on a variety of materials, with a focus on Stainless Steel and Sheet Metal.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, welding process specifications (WPS), and other technical documentation to determine welding requirements and procedures.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Proficiently utilize electric and air tools as required for preparation and finishing tasks.
- Work with materials ranging from 16-18 gauge sheet metal to structural components from 1/2" to 6" in thickness.
- Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Inspect finished welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder, with a strong emphasis on TIG welding.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and WPS.
- Experience working with Stainless Steel and Sheet Metal.
- Familiarity with welding materials in the 16-18 gauge range.
- Experience with structural welding of materials from 1/2" to 6".
- Proficient in the use of electric and air tools common to welding and fabrication.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, consumables, and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
- Welding certifications (e.g., AWS certifications).
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Compensation:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be required to successfully complete a welding test covering TIG, MIG, and Structural welding techniques.
