What You’ll Do
As an Automotive Assembly Technician, you’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team to build high-quality electric shuttle buses. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time
- Perform assembly tasks with precision, ensuring components are installed within specified tolerances
- Troubleshoot fabrication or assembly issues and communicate solutions clearly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area — everyone sweeps, everyone cleans
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet performance and safety standards
- Lift and carry up to 35 lbs as needed
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with OSHA safety guidelines
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or assembly
- Familiarity with hand tools, metal fabrication tools (grinders, saws, drills), and automotive shop equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Availability to work a consistent 40-hour week, with occasional overtime
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding experience (GTAW/GMAW on mild steel)
- Forklift certification
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
Work Environment
- Primarily on the production floor; standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods required
- Work around adhesives, paint primers, and sawdust
- Must be able to work in and around elevated vehicles and potentially hazardous machinery
