Position Overview
An experienced Precision Metal Cutter is needed for a full-time 2nd shift role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves working with advanced cutting machinery and collaborating with engineers and production teams to meet tight tolerances and performance targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laser cutting, CNC operations, and other high-precision metal fabrication techniques.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC and laser cutting machines with a focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise cutting operations
• Manage complex, high-volume projects in a fast-paced setting
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines
• Perform quality inspections and adjustments to ensure adherence to required tolerances
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces according to safety standards
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in precision metal cutting in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in CNC and laser cutting operations
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and fabrication standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality results
• Dependable, with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance
• Safety-conscious, with knowledge of workplace safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with a variety of metal types and cutting thicknesses
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, etc.)
• Prior mentorship or leadership experience within a production team
