Job Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Glendale, CA. This entry-level position provides critical support in payroll operations, employee data maintenance, and benefits coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, time management, and proficiency in Excel.
What You Will Achieve:
- Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy and completeness

Identify and correct timecard errors, including missed punches and overlapping shifts

Update employee changes in ADP, including pay rate adjustments, location transfers, and position changes

Assist in processing weekly and biweekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees

Organize and file payroll-related emails and documentation, including promotion, demotion, and termination notices

Process employee terminations in ADP in a timely and compliant manner

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits via email and in-person

Provide support during insurance enrollment periods and assist employees with related questions

Collaborate with HR and Payroll team members to ensure accurate and timely data entry and payroll execution

Maintain accurate records and ensure payroll folders are properly organized

Perform general administrative tasks as needed
What You Will Need:
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and prioritization skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., filters, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Prior experience in payroll, HR, or administrative support is a plus but not required — training will be provided
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Accounting, or related field is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated or at a desk) for extended periods while operating a computer or other office equipment. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds
