Position Summary
Repair and maintain electrical equipment and mechanical systems throughout the facility.
Major Duties
- Understand advanced troubleshooting skills for industrial circuits in 480/240 3 Phase, 240/110 Single Phase. Familiar with VFD’s and PLC’s and able to perform basic programming and troubleshooting.
- Have an advanced working knowledge of electrical and maintenance tools, their functions, operations, safety requirements and care.
- Familiar with advanced mechanical/electrical knowledge to work on hydraulic systems, both screw and belt conveyors, fiber grinding and saw equipment, packaging equipment, and air systems.
- Ability to perform advanced electrical maintenance and mechanical maintenance operations such as troubleshoot electrical circuit, conduit running, wire labeling and pulling, drilling, cutting, tapping, pipe threading, light layout, read and follow basic blueprints, sheave and sprocket alignment.
- Operate forklift or other lifting devices.
- Rebuilding motors, gearboxes, and process machinery systems and components.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Licensing
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Electrician Certification (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License
Experience
- Four to six (4-6) years of strong maintenance and electrical experience on industrial equipment, prefer in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Mechanical skills including welding, fabrication, and machining (required).
- Knowledge of industrial electrical and electrical control systems, PLC controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Work Schedule
- Open to all shifts
- Must be able to work overtime and double-time as needed.
