Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across various settings, including commercial and industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform renovations involving low voltage systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as part of a team on larger projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrician practices as well as industrial electrician requirements.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately to execute projects efficiently.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in various environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A maintenance person background can be beneficial for diverse project needs.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
