About the Role
You’ll style hair for photo and video shoots, collaborating with our creative team to craft elevated, on-brand looks across campaign and marketing content.
Responsibilities
- Create hairstyles based on mood boards and shoot concepts
- Work with natural hair textures, wigs, extensions, and heat tools
- Style for editorial, commercial, and social formats
- Maintain hair health and appearance under production lighting
- Be efficient and flexible on fast-paced sets
- Tweak looks between takes and manage continuity when needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in professional hair styling
- Skilled with a range of hair types and textures
- Confident with updos, braids, volume work, slick looks, and natural finishes
- Experience with wigs, installs, clip-ins, and protective styles
- Own professional-grade tools and kit
- Punctual, collaborative, and production-savvy
Schedule & Compensation
- 8 hours/week, flexible scheduling
- Freelance contractor role
- $25–40/hour depending on experience (Los Angeles average: ~$28.50/hour)
