Job Description
Pioneer Custom Electric Products, a Voltaris Power Company is an industry-leading provider of custom engineered solutions and electrical products such as low- and medium-voltage switchgear, unit substations and automatic transfer switches, catering to a diverse North American market.
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding. This role is essential to the production and repair of metal components and structures, with a strong emphasis on quality, precision, and safety.
Qualifications
· 1–3 years of welding experience (industrial, construction, or fabrication)
· Completion of a welding certification program or technical training preferred (not required)
· Certification in Stainless Steel
· AWS Certified Welder preferred (not required)
· Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols
· Familiarity with metal types and welding procedures
· Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate welds
· Basic math and measurement skills
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Forklift Certification Preferred (not required)
Responsibilities
· Perform MIG, Stick, or Flux-core welding based on job requirements
· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
· Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and hand tools
· Inspect and test welds to ensure structural soundness and conformance to specifications
· Grind, cut, or bend metal as needed for fabrication or repair work
· Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
· Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
· Stand, bend, kneel, or crouch for extended periods
· Able to wear and work in full PPE, including welding helmet and gloves
