Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Fabricate doors, windows, and other architectural metal projects from start to finish from technical drawings and verbal directions to an accuracy of 1/16" or better
Use all shop equipment safely and efficiently, including welders, drill press, cold saw, band saw, and other equipment
Train and supervise other fabricators as needed, keeping projects on target and helping to motivate others
Prep and finish materials using abrasive equipment, patina, paint, clear coat etc
Communicate clearly and frequently with the Supervisor and Managers, asking necessary questions, and providing regular updates and feedback
Encourage a positive atmosphere and help to problem solve
Install projects on job sites when needed

Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of products and equipment used as a part of this position's regular activities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Manual Machining experience in vertical mill and lathe
Proficient with software required for the execution of this role
5+ years of custom metal fabrication experience
TIG welding
Knowledge of safe and efficient use of all common shop tools
Woodworking experience preferred
Construction site installation experience preferred
Knowledge of common metalwork tooling, materials, and consumables
Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
Reliable transportation to and from work
Reliable phone
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, standing on a ladder and other similar factory and construction site body positions, as well as sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods
Must be able to perform heavy lifting safely and repeatedly
Manual dexterity to perform job duties including operating equipment, machinery, tools, and material manipulation
Pay Range
Each position has an associated pay range, specific pay rates are determined by ownership and based on the following criteria: the financial health of the company and the employee's attitude and skill as outlined during reviews (quality, attendance, dependability, communication, decision making, teamwork). Pay raises are only considered at the 3 month review, annual reviews, and under special circumstances.
