Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a highly motivated Asset Protection (AP) Manager to oversee security and risk management for our Manufacturing and Distribution operations in San Dimas, California. The AP Manager will be instrumental in achieving company inventory protection goals by developing and implementing shrink reduction strategies, establishing stringent transportation and logistics security protocols, and providing comprehensive support for inventory management and investigations within assigned locations.
This role requires close collaboration with leadership and Security personnel to optimize operational processes and enhance risk mitigation efforts. The AP Manager will also champion safety awareness initiatives and contribute to Business Continuity programs within their designated locations, as directed.
Furthermore, the AP Manager will proactively manage the service, repair, and upgrades of physical security equipment, including CCTV, burglar alarms, card access systems, and keying/locks, working in partnership with operational teams and the AP physical security Project Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruiting, developing, and coaching direct reports, as applicable, and collaborating with third-party security vendors. The APM will also be responsible for managing the assigned location's Security budget, encompassing Security officers and physical security projects.
Asset Protection:
- Inform corporate, regional and location leadership and staff of potential risks or losses to company assets
- Ensure standards and procedures are followed to control internal and external loss throughout locations
- Completion of operational audits to ensure compliance
- Physical security compliance – Managing/maintaining of CCTV and access control platforms
- Filter new information and procedures to risk and/or shrink
- Consistently relay critical information provided by Department head and supervisors to on-site personnel as part of awareness building and proactive collaboration.
- Continuous monitoring of internal controls and documenting incidents
- Enforcement of compliances and company procedures
- Protection of employees and maintaining awareness of safety issues
- Leading investigations within the assigned location(s)
- Investigation follow-through to include attending court appearances or partnerships with legal, as needed
- Merchandise recovery through networking with local law enforcement and organized crime networks
- Ambassador of safety programs and initiatives by complying and participation in compliance programs and processes as needed to deter potential threats to people and inventory
- Escorting and guarding of people and premises during events and other functions as needed
Training:
- Recruiting, developing, training and continuous coaching of direct reports
- Familiarizing new employees through orientations to create awareness and advise them of procedures and policy
- Conducting monthly and quarterly trainings with associates as needed or required by law
- Attending regular conference calls with various business partners, participating in trainings and frequent location visits
Reporting:
- Provide weekly quantitative and qualitative reports on losses, recoveries, investigations and potential or real violations of policy and procedures to department business leaders
- Completion of recaps and action plans as directed
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with over five years of experience in Asset Protection/Loss Prevention, preferably in a multi-site environment. A strong working knowledge of security and asset protection equipment, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing both direct and indirect reports. The position requires availability for travel, event support, and occasional weekend projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is expected, as are excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written. Wicklander-Zulawski certification is highly desirable.
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $95,000-$105,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
