Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organization and will involve working with various accounting software systems. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a key role in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and overall financial management.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Quicken, Xero, or similar platforms for efficient bookkeeping practices.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities as needed.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and standards where applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience in public accounting or as a Full Charge Bookkeeper is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Quicken, Xero) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits along with general ledger reconciliation practices.
- Experience with governmental accounting principles is a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
