Job Description: Industrial Electrician / Automation technician
Overview: As an Industrial Electrician / Automation technician, you will be integral to the operation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical & automated systems. Your role will involve installing, troubleshooting, and repairing high voltage machinery and equipment to ensure efficient production processes along with low voltage installation. This position requires a blend of high voltage installation along with strong electrical and automation skills to support our manufacturing operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Setup:
o Install and integrate electrical panels and control systems into automated machinery according to technical specifications and blueprints.
o Configure and calibrate pneumatic components such as valves, actuators, and cylinders to ensure proper functionality.
2. Maintenance and Repair:
o Conduct routine maintenance checks on high and low voltage systems and pneumatic systems to prevent operational issues and downtime.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical related problems, including high voltage motors and starters along with low voltage control systems.
o Replace or repair faulty electrical components to restore equipment to optimal performance.
3. Testing and Optimization:
o Perform tests and inspections to evaluate electrical system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Integration and Automation Control:
o Interface with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) to ensure seamless integration of pneumatic systems with overall automation controls.
o Program and configure automation systems to manage pneumatic operations effectively.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
o Generate reports on system performance, maintenance schedules, and recommendations for enhancements.
6. Safety and Compliance:
o Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with pneumatic equipment and systems.
o Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
7. Training and Support:
o Provide training and guidance to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of systems.
o Offer technical support to resolve pneumatic-related issues and optimize system performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree or certification in Automation Technology,
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electrical systems and automated systems.
o Expertise in High Voltage electrical installation of power distribution panels, MCC panels, and control panels.
o Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
o Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems automation.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze system performance and diagnose issues effectively.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in performing tasks and documenting maintenance activities accurately.
Work Environment:
- Work primarily in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or on-call availability to respond to pneumatic system emergencies.

Pay: $38.00 - $47.00 per hour
