OverviewThis person will be responsible for developing and designing, strategic procurement activities, policies, procedures and practices to drive operational excellence for the team. This role will support and track the delivery of the team’s key performance indicators, and the timely delivery of activities related to budget, forecasting and reporting. It will also require deep expertise in strategic procurement processes, budget creation, financial reporting, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, project management and success in implementation of complex projects.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement Leadership
- Develop and implement best-in-class procurement policies, procedures and practices, tools, and frameworks across the organization for source to contract and procure to pay activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing, supplier relationship management, cash conversion cycle programs and cost savings
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the process and development of procurement budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance and business stakeholders to support the execution of this process from the procurement perspective
- Monitor and report on procurement financial performance, including spend analysis, TDC savings tracking, PPV, forecasting and all related financial KPI metrics, as well as sustainability and reporting to executive teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations to align procurement strategies with business goals
- Support market intelligence reports from consultants, suppliers and official sources to be used in respective category analysis, pricing forecasts and others required for proper procurement performance
Project and Program Management
- Lead and manage high-impact procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence and measurable outcomes as well as tracking and maintenance of department scorecard and KPIs
- Responsible for project tracking of procurement initiatives and change management and stakeholder engagement to ensure quick and effective implantation supporting category owners.
People and Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performance COE department focused on analytics, process excellence and capability building establishing with cross functional stakeholders’ governance structures and performance metrics to track success and compliance
- Develop the L&D strategy for the team in coordination with department lead and HR business partners.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 7 plus years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong background in budget creation, financial reporting, and procurement analytics & project management.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., JDE, SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP, etc.) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
