Essential Functions:

Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical and/or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures; utilizes hand tools and power tools.

Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components; utilizes test equipment and hand tools to locate cause of breakdown and corrects problem.

Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.

Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Installs ground leads and connects power cables to equipment.

Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, and fixtures; utilizes hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, and other resources as needed.

Places conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas; pulls insulated wires or cables through conduit to complete circuits between boxes.

Constructs and fabricates parts using hand tools and specifications.

Fastens small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.

Digs trenches to lay conduit and moves/lifts heavy objects as needed.

Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum two (2) years experience in commercial electrical environment or completion of approved technical training program.
Special Requirements/Certification:
-
Currently participating in an apprenticeship program and/or in school.
Pay Range: 20.67 - 21.00
