Job Summary
We are actively seeking a Refrigeration EMS Technician to join our team in Chino, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and skilled technician with experience in Energy Management Systems (EMS), refrigeration controls, and commercial HVAC/R environments. The technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining refrigeration control systems for large commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, and commission EMS and refrigeration control systems (i.e. CPC, Emerson, Danfoss, or similar platforms)
- Troubleshoot and repair EMS system issues, control wiring, sensors, and field devices
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration EMS equipment to ensure energy efficiency and performance
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with onsite teams and project managers to ensure timely and accurate system installations
- Maintain detailed service logs, documentation, and compliance reports
- Follow safety protocols and company standards at all times
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in refrigeration controls, EMS systems, or HVAC/R controls
- Strong working knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems and EMS platforms (CPC, Emerson E2, Danfoss, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Proficient with low-voltage electrical wiring and control systems
- EPA Universal Certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to travel locally to job sites in and around Chino, CA
