Job Description:
As a Cabinet Vision and CAD Drafter, you will play a crucial role in our design and production process. You will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate cabinet and millwork designs using Cabinet Vision software. Additionally, you will collaborate with our team of designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD and Cabinet Vision software to create detailed and accurate cabinet and millwork designs.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to develop design concepts and project requirements.
- Read and translate blueprints and jobsite measurements to interpret millwork design concept
- Prepare technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and shop drawings.
- Generate detailed material lists to be ordered.
- Produce cutting lists, CNC output for shop production.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and building codes.
- Review and revise designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Follow the production of the project for quality control and review methods used.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in cabinet and millwork design.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Cabinet Vision software is required.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cabinet and millwork design principles.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Use Microsoft Office, Google, Adobe.
- Strong math skills to calculate material yield and project requirements, as well as convert metric and fractional dimensions.
- Ability to identify domestic and exotic wood species.
- Ability to identify and duplicate common and technical wood joints.
- Ability to read and translate blueprints and jobsite measurements.
- Ability to read and use woodworking related measuring devices.
- Knowledge of commonly used woodworking materials.
- Knowledge of face frame and frameless construction methods
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

- Alphacam
- Cabinet making experience.
- Millwork experience.
- Cabinet installation experience.
- Cabinet & Millwork Design and engineering experience.
