Job Overview Part-Time Assistant – Help Chinese American Seniors Find & Apply for Affordable Housing.
We are the Chinese Housing Support Center, located in San Gabriel, CA. Our mission is to assist Chinese American seniors, age 55+ or 62+, in applying for government-subsidized senior housing.We are currently hiring three part-time assistants who are fluent in English and passionate about community service to join our team!

Duties
* Assist our Chinese-speaking team in communicating with senior housing providers and government programs.
* Make phone calls or send emails in English to verify application requirements and procedures.
* Help translate and explain English application forms to Chinese-speaking clients.
* Act as a communication bridge between elderly clients and institutions.
* Conduct on-site visits to senior housing communities, if needed.

Qualifications
* Fluent in Mandarin and English.
* Patient, compassionate, and genuinely interested in helping elderly community members.
* Comfortable working in a cross-cultural setting (knowledge of Chinese culture a plus).
* Basic computer skills (email, document editing, online forms).
* Prior experience in customer service, nonprofit work, or social services is a plus.

Work Details
* Location: Hybrid – Remote work, San Gabriel office, and on-site visits to senior housing communities as needed
* Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours
* Pay: bonuses (to be discussed during interview)
* Training: Provided; long-term collaboration encouraged
