Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's revenue cycle, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of payments. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, along with a solid understanding of accounts receivable processes.

Schedule

can be M to F (8am to 1pm) or M/W/F (7am to 430pm)

Duties

Manage and maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process incoming payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers.
Conduct account reconciliation to resolve discrepancies and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Analyze customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
Assist in revenue cycle management by collaborating with other departments to streamline billing processes.
Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software for tracking payments and generating reports.
Perform credit analysis on new customers to assess risk before extending credit terms.
Support public accounting efforts by providing necessary documentation during audits.

Skills

Proficiency in accounts receivable management and revenue cycle processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
Familiarity with governmental accounting principles is a plus.
Experience with public accounting practices is desirable.
Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
Proficient in using QuickBooks and other accounting software tools.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding account status.
Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies or issues that arise within accounts.
