Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's revenue cycle, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of payments. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, along with a solid understanding of accounts receivable processes.

- can be M to F (8am to 1pm) or M/W/F (7am to 430pm)
Duties
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process incoming payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers.
- Conduct account reconciliation to resolve discrepancies and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Analyze customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Assist in revenue cycle management by collaborating with other departments to streamline billing processes.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software for tracking payments and generating reports.
- Perform credit analysis on new customers to assess risk before extending credit terms.
- Support public accounting efforts by providing necessary documentation during audits.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounts receivable management and revenue cycle processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting principles is a plus.
- Experience with public accounting practices is desirable.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Proficient in using QuickBooks and other accounting software tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding account status.
- Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies or issues that arise within accounts.
