We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the operations of our art gallery located in downtown Venice. You will be maintaining accurate records of inventory, and assisting with various bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
DUTIES:
-Assist in maintaining accurate records, including invoicing clients, managing store inventory, and managing certain accounts for the business.
-Build daily, weekly, and pending task lists and work independently from th
-Perform shipping and receiving tasks, primarily through FedEx, safely packing goods, and monitoring arrivals of all shipments.
-Organizing gallery floor, attention to detail and an eye for efficient organization.
-Manage office administration tasks, including filing and organizing documents.
-Handling art through unpacking and packing safely, using extreme caution
-Building documents for clients, such as invoices, and various other PDFs.
-Support the bookkeeping team with various administrative duties as needed.
-Act as a personal assistant to senior staff when required, ensuring smooth office operations.
EXPERIENCE:
-Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
-Previous retail or assistant experience a plus, but not necessary.
-Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy is essential.
-Strong proofreading skills to ensure all documents are error-free.
-Familiarity with office management practices and procedures is a plus.
-Comfortable working within Google Drive, proficient in spreadsheets is essential.
