Job Description
Helpline Youth Counseling is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk (Billing). The position will prepare monthly billing, and support payroll processing. Additional duties include assisting with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities

Administer various billings

Support monthly payroll processing

Assist in preparing reports on financial results

Assist in preparing budgets and data analysis

Assist in preparing journal entries and accruals
-
Assist in preparing analysis of accounts (e.g. salary, benefits)
-
Assist with month-end and year-end closings
-
Assist with documentation during the audit process
-
Assist in maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
-
Special projects will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
-
Billing and accounting experience is preferred
-
Not-for-profit work experience is preferred
-
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is preferred
-
Knowledge of cost allocation principles is preferred
-
Experience in fund accounting with multiple funding sources is preferred

Intermediate Excel skills

Ability to work cooperatively with a team and self-motivated

Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced/high volume environment

Successfully pass a TB screening test

Successfully pass a criminal background check.
