Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a licensed dispensary. The ideal candidate will be observant, customer-service oriented, and able to maintain a strong security presence while ensuring compliance with all company policies and state regulations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a visible security presence at the dispensary entrance and surrounding areas
Verify IDs and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
Monitor surveillance systems and respond to any suspicious activity
De-escalate minor disturbances or conflicts professionally
Conduct routine patrols of the property
Document and report all incidents accurately and promptly
Work collaboratively with dispensary staff to maintain a safe environment
Requirements:
Valid guard card/license as required by state law
Excellent observation and communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Previous experience in dispensary or retail security is a plus
Must be punctual and reliable
Additional Information:
All officers are entitled to a 30-minute unpaid break during their shift
Payroll is processed on a strict biweekly schedule, with payments issued every other Friday
