Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and industrial electrical work, demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires a hands-on approach, utilizing various tools and equipment to build, install, and maintain electrical systems in diverse settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems using ohmmeters and other testing equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical installations.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all work performed.
- Assist in the installation of logic controllers as part of automated systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or industrial electrician is required.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus for integrated projects.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety practices related to electrical work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
