The Role
The Studio & Fabrication Coordinator supports daily studio operations by assisting recording sessions, maintaining studio cleanliness and infrastructure, fabricating custom solutions, coordinating inventory systems, and developing internal systems and protocols. This hybrid role ensures the studio runs smoothly while supporting long-term improvements in both functionality and workflow.
The Details
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Studio Operations, Business & Brand Manager, and Production Manager.
- Assist with scheduling, vendor coordination, and task tracking for studio and fabrication operations.
- Support workflow optimization by identifying inefficiencies and contributing to improved studio processes.
- Create and maintain templates for internal processes, checklists, and operational documents.
- Assist with drafting and sending contracts, NDAs, and other administrative documents to clients and collaborators.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fabrication projects, purchases, and operational updates.
- Track and manage studio inventory across operational, administrative, and fabrication needs, coordinating restocking and offsite storage when needed
- Communicate with vendors and external partners to obtain quotes, coordinate deliveries, and process orders.
- Provide general assistance to studio staff and engineers during sessions and day-to-day operations.
- Perform standard runner duties including errands, deliveries, session setup and breakdown, hospitality, and inventory checks.
- Collaborate with the Head Runner and technical leads to resolve infrastructure issues (e.g., addressing short-term issues such as sound leaks and lighting, while helping develop sustainable, long-term solutions for layout and infrastructure.)
- Support the creation and implementation of studio-wide policies, systems, and best practices to contribute to long-term studio planning and operational development.
- Maintain and troubleshoot minor technical issues in coordination with engineers and studio management.
- Ensure all studio spaces are clean, stocked, and prepared according to session/client needs.
- Deliver a high level of professionalism and warmth in line with the Living Room ethos.
- Track and manage studio inventory, ensuring timely restocking and organization of essential supplies and equipment.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all client and internal interactions.
Fabrication & Studio Enhancement Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with the Fabrication Lead to plan and execute ongoing build,repair, and maintenance projects.
- Design and fabricate custom furniture and studio components to improve functionality and aesthetics.
- Maintain and prioritize fabrication task lists based on urgency and project timelines.
- Communicate fabrication updates and needs clearly with the team and leadership.
- Create visual decks and proposals outlining purchase options for studio enhancements and operational upgrades.
Ensure studio facilities and components continuously meet functional, acoustic, and aesthetic requirements.

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, current liability insurance, clean driving record, and reliable transportation for errands.
- Prior experience in a recording studio is preferred.
- Basic understanding of analog and digital studio workflows.
- Proficient in the safe and effective use of power tools (e.g., drills, saws, sanders, routers, etc.).
- Experience with wood, metal, or mixed material fabrication and assembly
- Strong understanding of basic construction principles
- Ability to interpret design specs, measurements, and shop drawings accurately
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, sanding and assembling with precision
- Familiarity with safety procedures and protective equipment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in both structural integrity and finished work
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment (50+ lbs) as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members across departments
- Willingness to learn new techniques, tools, or materials as project needs evolve
- Prior experience in fabrication required.
