We offer a full range of benefits and are now looking to hire an HVAC Customer Service Technician in the Orange County/ Los Angeles area!
General Responsibility: The duties of the Customer Service HVAC Tech is the installation, maintenance and repair of both residential and commercial HVAC. Customer Service HVAC Tech’s are responsible to perform a variety of services ranging from troubleshooting to repair.
Significant Duties:
- Installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial buildings (fan coils, heat pumps, VRF, etc.).
- Ensure systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and replacing parts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts.
- Conduct system evaluations and inspections to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their HVAC needs to provide solutions.
- Provide education on system operation and maintenance to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations.
- Document any parts used, and hours worked for billing purposes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on HVAC systems.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and office staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Participate in training sessions and meeting to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Performs within the values and guidelines of 20/20 and adheres to the 20/20 Policies and Procedures.
- Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Five + years or more of experience in new construction HVAC or five + years of residential service HVAC
- Hold a valid California Driver's License with a clean DMV record.
- Must be a self-motivated, responsible, punctual and professional.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have basic Android/iPad knowledge.
- Maintain electronic timekeeping via portable electronic device (tablet).
- Experience with home warranty HVAC work.
- Accept responsibility and be accountable for achieving top results.
- Maintain a culture of mutual respect, trust, openness and can do.
- Commit to high standards of ethics, honesty and integrity.
- Working knowledge of HVAC principles, codes, design, distribution and construction
- Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, and other unusual elements, such as loud noise, dirt, dust, fumes, etc.
- Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to work on-call for up to one week at a time (nights, weekends, holidays).
Physical Requirements: The position of Customer Service HVAC Tech requires that you are able to lift objects that weight up to 75 pounds, climb a ladder, squat and kneel, twist and bend, and work above head and below waist. Job involves driving from job site to job site most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for periods.
