Maintenance Tech

Location: Torrance, CA
For training for the first 90 days (Probation) – 1000am-635pm, needs to take a 35-minute lunch
After training: 400pm – 1235am, with possibility of OT until 235am and Saturday/Sundays when needed.
- Maintain in working order all facility equipment to include conveyor systems, pneumatic stops and lift systems, manual pushcarts, Shipping/Receiving workstations, picking modules, shipping cages, safety barriers and Order Picker platform.
(Does NOT include Power Equipment itself and charging systems.)
- Minor electrical repair up to 240v.
- Administer and maintain annual, bi-annual and monthly preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate and Maintain vendor accounts with approval of LAPDC management
- Ability to perform special projects outside of standard hours and weekends. (Preplanned and coordinated with tech)
- Keeps updated inventory of all equipment and supplies.
- Update maintenance tracking log (excel sheet) and communicate progress of projects to management.
- Knowledge of handling and disposal of hazardous material.
- Maintain an organized and clean maintenance workshop, workstations and equipment/tool storage.
- Disposes of trash, job debris, unrepairable material daily; keeps the workshop clean at all times.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees and or management staff.
- Ability to independently problem solve situations.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Proficient in the utilization of electrical test equipment. (i.e. multi meters, Amp meters)
- Requirements:
- Welding; ability to perform arc welding, MIG welding, Torch cutting
- Time management skills; ability to perform all duties with minimal supervision
- High school diploma
