Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of office operations
- Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
- Manage office budget and expenses, including monitoring and reconciling accounts
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with financial concepts, GAAP, AIA, and governmental accounting standards
- Perform technical accounting tasks such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial analysis
- Utilize accounting software QuickBooks to manage financial transactions
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
- Supervise administrative staff and provide guidance and support as needed
- Manage Union workers payroll benefits
- Manage and improve cross department communication
- Openly communicate with Sr. Project Manager and Field Operations Manager about billing and contract issues.
- Maintain tax records/payments.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an office manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, GAAP, and governmental accounting standards
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Quicken and QuickBooks
- Excellent 10-key typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with public accounting practices is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
