Retail Operations Analyst

A leading grocery retail organization is seeking a Retail Operations Analyst to support store operations through labor optimization and process improvements. This role focuses on analyzing how work gets done across stores — from stocking and inventory to customer service — and recommending ways to make teams more efficient and productive.
Analyze staffing, workflows, and daily tasks across departments like receiving, checkout, and inventory
Build and maintain labor standards using time studies and operational observations
Collaborate with store ops, HR, training, and finance teams to support labor planning
Recommend ways to improve store operations, staffing plans, and productivity
Monitor labor performance using data tools and reporting systems
Provide analysis for labor initiatives and operational efficiency projects
Support the development of labor scheduling tools and reporting systems
Help address process issues and suggest cost-saving improvements
Stay up to date on best practices in retail operations and labor management
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field
5+ years of experience in labor planning, industrial engineering, or retail operations
Experience with labor standards, workflow analysis, or time/motion studies
Strong Excel skills; SQL or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus
Understanding of grocery or high-volume retail operations
Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience preferred
Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment
