Qualifications
Experience:
o 3+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.
o Experience operating and programming CNC machines. Ideally Hurco
o Strong knowledge of MasterCAM and multi-axis machining.
Technical Skills:
o Ability to perform precise setups and make real-time adjustments for quality and efficiency.
o Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
o Strong math and problem-solving skills; ability to perform basic arithmetic and calculate measurements.
Leadership Qualities:
o Ability to manage workflow, mentor operators, and maintain clear communication across teams.
o Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a leadership capacity.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Were seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machine Operator Lead to join our precision manufacturing team. This is a dual-role opportunity for a hands-on machinist who also brings leadership skills to guide a team on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities
CNC Machining: Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills and lathes to machine precision parts. Must have experience with conversational programming and running Hurco machines.
Advanced Setup: Capable of operating 4- or 5-axis machines and using MasterCAM to support part programming and setup.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine machining sequences and tolerances.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure products meet strict quality standards and tolerances.
Machine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, identify mechanical issues, and ensure machines run at optimal efficiency.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and increase productivity.
Working Lead Responsibilities: Act as a bridge between the production floor and management, support scheduling, prioritize tasks, and provide mentorship to junior machinists.
Team Leadership: Motivate and guide a small team to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and process standards.
