Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with workplace hazards. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA standards, risk management practices, and construction management principles.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and support to employees on safety protocols, risk management strategies, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure proper reporting of incidents in accordance with legal requirements.
- Monitor compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations, ensuring that all operations adhere to occupational health standards.
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to senior management for continuous improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards as they relate to construction projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software for tracking safety compliance and incident reporting.
- Expertise in risk management techniques to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and regulations.
- Ability to build effective relationships across various departments to promote a culture of safety.
- Excellent communication skills for training staff and presenting safety information clearly.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing effective solutions.
