Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven HVAC General Manager to oversee and lead our HVAC operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HVAC services, optimizing team performance, and driving business growth. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our HVAC business while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HVAC team, including technicians, office staff, and service managers.
- Oversee training, and performance management of staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure employee productivity, motivation, and retention.
- Operations Management:
- Manage daily operations of the HVAC division, ensuring timely and efficient completion of service calls, installations, and maintenance projects.
- Develop and enforce operational procedures and best practices for the team.
- Monitor service delivery and customer satisfaction to ensure quality standards are met.
- Handle project management, resource allocation, and scheduling for installations, repairs, and maintenance services.
- Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the HVAC budget, including forecasting and cost control.
- Ensure profitability by monitoring expenses, optimizing resource allocation, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Review and analyze financial reports, ensuring adherence to financial goals and objectives.
- Business Development & Strategy:
- Drive business growth through the development of new client relationships and the maintenance of existing ones.
- Identify opportunities to expand the company’s HVAC services and offerings.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote services and attract new business.
- Maintain and grow a customer base by ensuring high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure the HVAC team complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all licenses, certifications, and permits required for operations are up to date.
- Reporting & Performance Metrics:
- Prepare regular performance reports, including financial performance, service delivery metrics, and customer satisfaction levels.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of managing large teams and overseeing HVAC operations.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, installation, and maintenance.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities.
- Ability to identify and drive business growth opportunities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in HVAC software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for Extended Periods: Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for the majority of the workday.
- Typing and Data Entry: Proficiency in typing and using a computer mouse for data entry and communication tasks.
- Phone Usage: Ability to handle a headset or phone for extended periods.
- Visual Acuity: Good vision required for reading computer screens and documentation.
- Hearing: Ability to hear clearly through a headset or phone to effectively communicate with customers.
- Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of keyboard and mouse, which involves repetitive motion.
- Manual Dexterity: Adequate manual dexterity for handling phone equipment and performing data entry tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
