Job Title: Welder

Job Description:
Cross Brothers is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for MIG and TIG welding of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in various configurations. While certification is not required, we are looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of welding. Training will be provided for those who need additional skills in certain areas.
We value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG (GMAW) welding of steel from 16 gauge sheet to 3/8" thick plate
- Execute precise welds in Butt, T, Lap, and Corner configurations
- TIG (GTAW) welding of steel, stainless steel (304/316), and aluminum (5000 and 6000 series alloys) from 18 gauge to 1/4" thick plate
- Read and interpret tape measures accurately
- Grind and clean your own welds (training provided as needed)
- Ensure visual inspection standards are met (no X-ray or ultrasound testing required)
- Work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed
Required Skills:
- Understanding of fundamental welding principles (MIG and TIG)
- Familiarity with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum welding
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements
- Proficiency in grinding welds (or willingness to learn)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
