Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in barbering techniques and a keen understanding of hair care, styling, and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality haircuts, shaves, and grooming services while ensuring an exceptional experience for every client. The Barber will also assist with retail sales and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the salon.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and hair styling.
- Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and provide tailored recommendations.
- Utilize knowledge of color theory and hair extensions to enhance client services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with front desk operations including scheduling appointments using MINDBODY software.
- Engage in retail sales by promoting hair care products and services to clients.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in barbering techniques and products.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
- Valid barbering license or cosmetology certification is required.
- Proven experience in barbering or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of retail math to assist with product sales and inventory management.
- Familiarity with MINDBODY software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Experience with hair threading and other specialized techniques is desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for the beauty industry and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
